When you work with AutoStow, the AutoStow Solution Explorer feature creates XML files in designated folders.
Navis recommends that you use this feature in the test environment you use when developing and refining AutoStow Strategy sets.
The first time you use AutoStow with the AutoStow Solution Explorer feature enabled, XPS creates the SPARCS N4 Client\Private\soln-exp folder. Every time you work a vessel with AutoStow, XPS creates a subfolder named by vessel reference, such as 872038. To this subfolder, XPS writes the following set of files:
File |
Description |
---|---|
vessel.xml |
Describes the ship layout, including the ship name, visit, and each section with bay name and ship stack. |
projections.xml |
Describes all projections planned to the ship, including their bay, column, tier, stow group, container reference, and selected container |
containers.xml |
Describes all containers in the load list, including their ID, stow factor, and location |
stow[N].xml |
Describes all containers considered for a projection, including their ID, penalty types, and score. After generating the debug output you’ll have a number of these files named "stow[N].xml" where the 'N' is a number that corresponds in some way to the projection for which data is contained within the file. |
You can browse the data in these files in the XPS-external AutoStow Solution Explorer window (on page 1)
To work with AutoStow Solution Explorer in an XPS client, run AutoStow for a selected work queue (on page 1) or for an entire ship (on page 1). XPS creates XML files in the designated vessel folder.
Notes
XPS generates the XML files only if SLNEXP is set to Y, and the AutoStow parameter CFGSAL (on page 1) is set to 1.
Running AutoStow on the same vessel or bay will overwrite previous data stored by AutoStow Solution Explorer. If you want to preserve data from one run to the next, such as for debugging, you must manually back up the folder pertaining to the vessel visit.
